Cadence Concert

For those nerdy enough to care, Kori and I went to a Cadence concert in the SeaTac area on Friday night. They are an a cappella group of which we used one of their songs in our wedding ("Sunshine", which they performed), and their albums are incredibly made. We found out on Friday that they are just as good, if not better, in concert. We also discovered that this is the first time they have ever performed in the NW, as they are based out of Toronto.

Here are some pictures from the concert:

Opening with "New Day":
The intro song...very funny:

After the concert:
No, really. I'm an a cappella junkie.

New Audio Clip

I'm been pretty busy, even though I'm not working right now. Apparently I had enough spare time to begin working on recording a song idea I had. The last audio clip I posted was A Cappella Techno, which really didn't have any words (except "Let's Do This"). It was so fun to make that I had to get back into it and start working on some new stuff. This next idea will have more than three words for lyrics, but as of right now, I haven't recorded any of them, as I'm in the middle of writing them.

I hope you will enjoy hearing the work in progress and hear it develop into the song I hear in my head. Hopefully that will actually happen one of these days.

Two Weeks & Still Kicking!

Since it is our two week anniversary, I won't withhold pictures out of spite for the whiny, er...I mean, impatient, er...I mean...here's some pictures:

Kori getting ready with her sister:
Not sure what I'm looking at here. I should be staring at my beautiful bride:
This is more like it. Maybe I'm laughing at the 89 bobby pins in her hair, or maybe I'm laughing at Rich sitting behind her:
The cake:
The dress:
So you can see, I'm not making it up. I really did get married. There will be more pictures, thanks to our awesome photographer, and all the other people that took pictures. Thanks to all our friends that came from near and far to celebrate with us, and our families for supporting us, and those that couldn't make it or weren't invited (the building's only so big). We celebrated by going to the DMV to get Kori a licence with her new name, working on church stuff, and cleaning. Don't be jealous.

Elastic Ammo

Reminiscent of the rubber band fights I used to have with my brother, especially when he had a paper route, imagine the clean-up with this baby. I wonder what the load time is too. It's only $395!

Healing A Religious Rift

Thanks to Wade Hodges for posting this article on his blog. Wade is the director of the Tulsa workshop and preaching minister at the Garnett Church of Christ in Tulsa. This year the workshop focused on healing the split between the Churches of Christ and the independent Christian Churches.

Here is the Associated Press article:

The Simpsons Movie

If you watched The Simpsons last night, you might have seen the teaser trailer for The Simpsons Movie, due out July 27, 2007. I know what I'm doing for my birthday next year.

Posts From A Returning Newlywed

I have many posts to come. I'm sure you're all waiting for pictures. So here they are, though they're probably not the ones you want. I'm still waiting for most of those, plus I need to edit some of the ones I got, and they'll be in a different post.

I have to leave you in anticipation (because I can) by giving you some pictures reminiscent of the Sir Mix-A-Lot Day comments from this post. One day during our week-long honeymoon, Kori and I went to the EMP to experience music in project form. In it, we found Sir Mix-A-Lot's fur-lined leather coat:

and his bling:
and me on the ones and twos:
So now that I've properly annoyed those looking for wedding photos, I'll leave you with Kori and I on top of the Space Needle with Seattle behind us. It's good to be back at home.
More pictures to come!
